Athletic on Foot
Walking, hiking, Nordic walking, mountain climbing…as far as your feet will carry you. The “Waalweg” is a trail, which passes our idyllic Village of Marling, and leads over gentle slopes. It will bring you into the wonderful world of the mountains. Starting April 1st, Marling hosts a guest- hiking day every Wednesday. Within walking distance of the Unterpazeider, lies the train station of the Vinschgauer Tram. This train will bring you to some of Southern Tyroleses most beautiful hiking areas.

Strolling, looking, sightseeing
Stroll leisurely and look…in the old town of Meran with its picturesque arcades and Palm Tree Promenade. At one time, Meran was the capital of Southern Tyrolese. The downtown area, built in the 13th century, will whisk you into the past. A little bit further are the flowering gardens of Trautmansdorff Palace, which was voted as Italy’s most beautiful garden in 2005. The Austrian Empress Sisi loved to spend the winter months here. Get to know the Village of Marling – alone, as a couple, or with a guided group.

Golf and Tennis
Within a few minutes by car, you will reach one of the most beautiful golf courses in Southern Tyrolese, the nine- hole course in Lana. With its 3 kilometer length, the course provides a very challenging terrain, and is one of the biggest courses in Tyrolese.

Surfing, sailing and more
The “vento” in the morning lures the experts on the lake of Garda. But you don’t have to be a “pro” to race with the wind on a surfboard or a catamaran. It takes a little over an hour by car to reach Malcesine on the lake in the midst of the mountains – the water sport El-Dorado of Northern Italy.
